Tamara Peace is a California native with a rich family history of providing beauty services: her grandmother and great aunt both studied and practiced cosmetology. When Tamara attended Majestic Beauty School in the City of Orange (1978) she knew she had found her life's calling.
Tamara's work has taken her from stylist positions at salons, such as JJ's in Balboa, where she specialized in beach-friendly styles that looked fresh even after surfing, to being an on-site make-up artist for modeling studios preparing head shots and composites for actors and models.
Settling in Newport Beach, she enjoyed working as a stylist at Richard Ouellette's Salon and Spa at Fashion Island, Newport Beach's first day spa, as well as at Daniel's in Huntington Harbor. Over time she has developed an affinity for creating natural-looking Southern California blond highlights and has built a following on that strength. Tamara has also studied at Schwartzkopf Color Intensive Training Center and is now a Certified Hair Technician.
Tamara moved to Santa Barbara in 1991, where she began working at Radiance Salon, a whimsical, free-spirited salon, and Eco-beauty, a large salon and retail space. After 8 successful years at Camille Day Spa and Salon as a stylist and make-up artist, Tamara worked as director and master stylist at Peace Salon Spa for three years. She currently meets the needs of her clientele at Planet Beauty in Paseo Nuevo, down town Santa Barbara.
